Turn old CDs into Character Magnets
Do you have old CDs sitting in your closet? Here’s a super simple way to turn old CDs into Character Magnets. This is a quick craft that uses up scrap paper and gives the kids a fun way to create their favorite characters.
It packs in tons of fun but doesn’t require a degree in art to turn out something memorable for the kids. I can see these CDs turned into all kinds of other characters – PacMan, Star Wars Clone Troopers, Mickey Mouse and more. This weekend, my son and I created 2 for our refrigerator.
Turn old CDs into Character Magnets

Directions
Trace and cut solid construction paper to fit the CD. Then cut white circles for eyes; orange triangle for the beak. Use a black sharpie to make the eyes.
Glue a magnet on the back of the cd so it’s ready to display on the refrigerator.
Make a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Magnet
Creating a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Magnet is the same concept. Use green paper for the head; Red for the bandana, and brown for the turtle shell.
What will you create with your old CDs? I can’t wait to see your creations!
