Easy Homemade Make-Up Remover Pads
Are you tired of buying huge bags of cotton balls or makeup remover pads that you use once and then toss in the trash? If you are ready to step up your game and create a bit less trash each day, then you might be ready to make your own homemade make-up remover pads. These pads don’t cost any money and use scrap fabric you currently have in your closets and cabinets. Here is a simple DIY to make your own homemade make-up remover pads.

Easy Homemade Make-Up Remover Pads
Materials
- Scrap fleece, flannel, terry cloth or soft fabric of your choice
- Sewing machine
- Scissors
- Jar to hold your finished makeup remover pads
Directions
Select the sofest fabric scraps you have and cut them into small squares. I found this fleece TMNT scrap and decided it would be perfect for my face since it is super soft.
Sew a loose circle on the fabric with wrong sides in. In order to make these as quickly as possible, I chose to not flip this design and just leave the edges raw.
The fabric from the white blanket made a bit of a mess as I cut it, but it is super soft and I think the fuzz will lessen after I throw them in the wash one time.
Trim off the excess fabric and enjoy the finished make up remover circle pads. I made 12 of these in less than 30 minutes and am excited to try using them in my end of the day bedtime routine.
Find an unused canning jar to store them in and then toss them in a mesh bag to wash them after they’ve been used.
Have you ever made reusable make-up remover pads? Got any favorite fabric that works best in your experience? I’d love to hear!
Love the idea of reusable make-up remover pads but don’t have time or desire to sew them yourself? You can buy them on Amazon, of course!
