We have visited Roanoke, Virginia many times in the last few years. Roanoke is the perfect stopping place on the way to Washington, DC. There are so many great things to see and experience in Roanoke. On our most recent stop, we enjoyed supper at a great little place called The Green Goat.

The Green Goat is located right beside Wasena Park. Enjoy your food and then head out for an after dinner stroll through the adjacent Sculpture Park.

You can order pizza, sandwiches & other simple American dishes in the homey, casual restaurant. No need to dress up or get fancy for the Green Goat. Just come as you are and enjoy this tasty, local food.
After dinner or before lunch, take time to explore Wasena Park. There is a great playground area for the kids as well as a walking trail over to a nearby sculpture garden.
