Minecraft Papercraft Gift Idea

My kids are all Minecraft fans. Whether it’s collecting the little figures, playing on Xbox or learning to create a mod using Java code, if it has the word Minecraft, it’s probably going to be in the cool category. So when my son brought home the Scholastic Book orders and showed me this Minecraft Papercraft set, saying yes was an easy answer.

Each set comes with a whole stack of card stock paper shapes ready to be popped out, folded and turned into their favorite Minecraft creatures, blocks, villagers or zombies. The paper is heavy and looks ready to handle some extended play by little hands.

Skill and Age Suggestion: My 7 year old son is able to handle most of these papercraft assemblies. But the smaller blocks and more complex figures (like the witch) required some help from me. He suggests that kids start with the larger gravel blocks and then move to the green slime blocks. As the shapes gets smaller, they are more difficult to fold.

You pop out the shapes.

Fold along the scored lines and create the box shapes by inserting the tabs.

From the hit video game, Minecraft, comes Hostile Mobs paper craft.

There are several different Minecraft Papercraft Sets available on Amazon.com. The sets range in price from $8.00 – $25.00. These would be a great option for Minecraft lovers on your Christmas list.

Hobbies on a Budget did not receive any product or compensation for this post. We purchased this set from the local book fair and my son wanted to share his review with you.
