15 Gift Ideas for Tween Girls
Jewelry
Your tween daughter might not be ready for sterling silver or gold, but she it’s definitely time to graduate from the sparkly beads and twine she loved when she was younger to jewelry that feels real. A quality bracelet, necklace, or ring to wear when she wants to be a bit more “fancy” is a great idea. Jewelry she can grow into is even better. This Choose Joy bracelet from MantraBand is a cute one.
Brighten Up Her Dresser
Multi-color starbursts or some lights to string along the wall are great ideas to add light to her room, exspecially in the winter months when it gets dark so much faster.
A New Bible
Exspecially if her current Bible is one of those easy-reader picture one, a new Bible is a great gift idea for a tween girl. A new, cute Bible is so special to at that age. It was for me when my grandparents got me a new one when I was about nine.
The NIV Beautiful Word Coloring Bible is a great option. It comes with color pens and stickers as well as ready-to-color line art Bible verses.

Fuzzy Blanket
You can’t go wrong with something warm and fuzzy, no matter the age. 🙂 Same goes for fuzzy socks.
Nail Polish-the Real, Quality Stuff
When I was younger, I remember getting so many cheap, colorful nail polishes at Christmas gift exchanges that were gone after washing my hands twice. All I wanted was some that would last. Finally, I had to borrow from Mom, but having my own would have been better.

Scrunchies
They’re great for throwing up hair in a quick ponytail and adding a splash of color.
Books
Even if your daughter or granddaughter doesn’t read much, now is the perfect time to introduce them to great books. I didn’t fall in love with reading till third grade. Riley Mae and the Rocker Shocker Trek is stellar for this age group. It’s was my first favorite book and perfect for tween girls. Other Faithgirlz are great too. Can’t go wrong. As they get a little older on the tween spectrum, Keeper of the Lost Cities is a fabulous series as well as the False Prince.
Notebooks
Every girl needs a notebook to doodle or journal her thoughts.
A Ukelele
Ukeleles aren’t expensive instruments; you can get a great one for under 60 dollars, and they are easier to learn than guitar or even piano. Perfect first instrument for your tween girl.
Earbuds
There are some adorable ones out there, and she’ll definetly get lots of use out of them. Check out these fun earbuds on Amazon.
Portable charger
If your tween girl has a phone or ipod she could definetly use a portable way to keep it charged.
Gel Pens
There’s just something about fresh, sparkly ink.
Plush Stuff Animal
She’ll never be too old for a cute stuffed animal, exspecially these small reversible cats that let her tell the world what she’s feeling with simply a flip.
Throw Pillow
When the bed spread is freshened up, it adds new color to the whole room.
Waterbottle
She’ll be wanting something to drink throughout the day anyway. Why not let it be from a cute waterbottle instead of a boring plastic one.
Think about what she loves
Shopping for a tween girl isn’t as complicated as it first may seen. Making them smile on Christmas morning feels like a lot of pressure, but think what makes their eyes sparkle and get them more of that- For me, it’s anything and everything music. If the gift related to singing or piano, I loved it. A quick search for “gift ideas for girls who like music” ,for example, would get you searching in the right direction.
What gifts have gone over best for your tween girls? What’s the most unquie thing you’ve found for this Christmas that you hope goes over well?
Great post, Natalie! Thanks for all these wonderful ideas.
