Turn DVDs into Cash
We love movies and music in our house. Back when we first got married we ended up collecting hundreds of cds and dvds. But over the years, our collections have changed. The kids are growing out of Leap Frog and Cartoons and moving into other older children’s movies. We are trying to get our house ready to sell and are really working to clear the stuff out of our house that we no longer need. So what are the best options for recycling your unwanted CDs, DVDs and games? In addition to the traditional used book and media stores, I just discovered something called musicmagpie.com that allows me to turn old DVDs into cash. This is a sponsored post. I will receive compensation for posting this article. However, I do love the concept of this site and think it will benefit many of you the readers.
Turn old DVDs into Cash
is a website and iphone app that allows you to take your used DVDs, CDs and games and flip them for actual cash. You don’t even have to pay for shipping. I played around with the website earlier this
musicmagpie.com allows you to instantly turn your old DVDs, CDs and Games into cash. It’s really easy to use. Just enter the barcode of the DVD, CD or Game you want to sell into our Valuation Engine and we will tell you how much it’s worth. Easy!
Millions of people, just like you, have musicMagpie’d their old DVDs, CDs & Games to de-clutter their homes and make a little extra money for themselves. It’s simple to do, just start typing the barcode of the items you want to sell into our Valuation Engine to get an instant price!
Here’s how it works
On the website, you just type in the barcode of your media and it will immediately give you a cash offer. You must have at least 10 items (but you can go up to as many as 500 per order). I had a stack of DVDs to enter. After the first 3 or 4, I decided it might be easier to use the iphone app.
I downloaded the free app on my phone and found that musicmagpie is much easier to use if you have multiple items. You can just click the scan it button and it will immediately read the barcode without typing it in.
My DVDs and games ranged from .54 cents all the way up to $19.00. So the cash offer obviously depends on the age of the item as well as the subject matter and demand.
Once you have your items scanned in (or the bar codes entered), you can print a free postage paid label and mail in your media items.
You will receive a check in the mail after they process your items.
What do you do with your unwanted CDs, DVDs and games? I’d love to hear your tips and favorite ways to recyle old stuff into cash!
