Materials Needed

Tip: I highly recommend a bead threader. These little plastic threaders make it so much easier.

Directions

  • Cut a small slit in your fabric and then rip it down about 24 inches. Sure, you could cut the strips, but one of the things that makes these look rustic is the tears and loose threads.
  • Slide the alphabet beads onto a bead threader to spell the word.
  • Fold the fabric in half and run it through the loop in the threader.
  • Pull the beads over the thread. If your fabric is too thick to pull the beads over the loop, just tear it into a little smaller strip and try again.
  • Tie a knot on either side of the letter beads to secure them in place.
  • Leave the strands open at the end and simply tie a light knot when you are ready to wear them.
