Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells!
There’s something pretty cool about checking into your hotel after a long day of being on the road and knowing you don’t have to go anywhere else for the rest of the night. We checked in mid-afternoon, unpacked our swimsuits and headed down to the waterparks.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable! Ready for the family to relax after playing in the waterparks!
The Waterparks
One of the highlights of staying at the Wilderness Resort is the waterparks. No matter which season you choose to visit, you can enjoy the indoor waterparks. And if you visit in the summer season, there are plenty of outdoor waterslides and pools to enjoy.
The indoor waterparks are sure to keep the whole family entertained! There is the Wild Waterdome indoor waterpark which boasts a 70,000-square-foot indoor waterpark. The Wild WaterDome is home to the Great Wave (America’s largest indoor wave pool!)
You can walk across the indoor skyway from one waterpark to the next.
The Klondike Kavern Indoor Waterpark offers over 65,000 square feet of nonstop indoor waterpark fun for all ages. There are multiple waterslides, body slides, hot tub, lazy river and of couse the towering Bonanza Bluff with play features with a dumping bucket, water blasters and slides.
Tip: Pay the money for a locker so you can know that your valuables like your phone and wallet are secure while you swim and enjoy the slides! You can rent the locker in one waterpark and then ‘float’ the locker rental easily to the other waterparks without having to pay any additional money. There is no key to keep up with either! The locker just scans open using your wristband!
When you check in, you are given a towel card. You can then use it to get a dry towel at the waterpark. When it gets wet, just exchange it as many times as you need to at the towel kiosk.
CyverSpace
Our family also had the opportunity to try out the newest virtual reality game experience located in the Wild West region of the resort on level two, near Timberland Playhouse. You strap on a backpack, pick up the controls and get ready to battle robots. The game takes about 30 minutes to be trained and then play.
Wilderness guests are able to step into the amazing world of virtual reality to battle hordes of sinister robots in an epic VR adventure where you don’t just play the game – you are in it!
The fun part of staying at the Wilderness Hotel is that you can just order supper and never leave the property. There are multiple restaruants that deliver food right to your room. You can even eat right there at the waterparks!
