Take the time to learn about Perry’s Monument

Once you enter the state park, you will have several places that make great side trips. Take some time and learn about Commodore Perry at Perry’s Monument on Misery Bay. Misery Bay was the temporary home of Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry’s fleet during the War of 1812.

  1. Beautiful and impressive pictures, Sharon! You represent the places you have visited so well that it makes me want to visit every one of them. I may never reach all of the exciting places you have shown in your great blogs, but it is so much fun to see them through your eyes and the eyes of your family. Keep up this great blog!
