A day at Pattis is more than just an amazing meal. It’s an experience and place to make memories. Hobbies on a Budget received discounts for the purpose of this review.
Recently we took a family road trip over to western Kentucky and enjoyed some time staying at the Big Bear Resort and exploring the Land Between the Lakes Area. While we were there we took some time to enjoy lunch at Patti’s 1880’s Settlement in Grand Rivers, Kentucky. Patti’s is more than just a restaurant. When you go to Patti’s you are in a true family place, where young and old can have a great meal and make some memories.
Patti’s 1880’s Settlement – Grand Rivers, KY
When you plan a trip to Patti’s, go prepared to stay awhile. Not only is the food amazing, but you will want to take your time and enjoy the beautiful, changing gardens, the miniature golf course and mining. There are also multiple gift shops, old Time Photos and snack shops.
Tip: It’s recommended but not necessary to call ahead and make reservations. By calling ahead to make reservations, you will reduce your wait time and make your visit a more seamless experience.
Patti’s is modeled after an 1880’s settlement, complete with some fun decor including these farm house doors in the restrooms.
Patti’s 1880’s Settlement…a true family place, where young and old can enjoy it all…together.
Our kids were given a couple bags to do some mining. Mining for fossils and gems is always a fun way to spend some family time making memories.
A visit to Patti’s 1880’s Settlement Restaurant is not complete without an order of flower pot bread, two inch pork chops and the famous mile-high meringue pie!
Today we have grown into Patti’s 1880’s Restaurant with seating for over 400. We have become famous for our 2″ thick pork chops, mile-high meringue pie, and flowerpot bread. Mom always said, “Treat every customer as if they were a guest in your home.” This attitude has helped to bring us awards from Southern Living magazine, the State of Kentucky, and the National Small Business Administration. Treat yourself to Southern hospitality and food that will make your mouth water in anticipation. We are open year round and look forward to making your visit an adventure in eating.
After you eat, take some time to wander around the grounds and enjoy the animal life around the grounds.
