Personalized Scripture Gift Ideas for 2025
As we start the new year, many people are making resolutions, choosing a word for the year, or planning all the changes they want to make. In 2025, I’m choosing a Bible verse that has special meaning and praying these words into my life. What if anything are you doing to start the new year? As we enter this new year, we don’t know what we will experience, but we can build God’s Word into each day and pray for blessings and peace in our family.

Personalized Scripture Gift Ideas for 2025
Back when I was accompanying for our college choir, we performed a version of “The Lord Bless You and Keep You” by John Rutter on tour and for many of our performances. The song has always stuck in my head as the perfect scripture to pray over our families and lives. In recent years as my kids have grown older, I regularly find myself praying these words into their lives.
The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”Numbers 6:24-26
There’s just so much in these three short verses that I want to speak into my kid’s lives. I want them to experience the blessings that come only from God. I want them to live in the light of His face. And I pray that they will have the peace that only comes from the true source.
A few months ago, Natalie and I sat down at a piano in an empty auditorium and started playing the new arrangement of this classic scripture by Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes. We turned on the phone to capture the moment ‘just in case‘ it turned out to be something we wanted to keep.
When it came time to pick out Christmas presents for my kids, I decided on the perfect gift for Natalie. I ordered her a custom guitar capo with Numbers 6:24-26 engraved on the top. This can serve as a constant reminder of my prayer for her as she navigates each day.
