2020 Toilet Paper Ornaments

|

I think we can all agree that 2020 is a year that will go down in history as a truly memorable time. For all the craziness that we have experienced, it’s only fitting that we all decorate our homes and Christmas trees with some unique ornaments. The one thing many people will remember is the great toilet paper shortage that occured in the early months of the pandemic. Have some fun with your family and make sure everyone on your gifting list has at least one toilet paper ornament to hang on their Christmas tree in 2020.

2020 Toilet Paper Ornaments

Back in the early days of the Covid shutdowns, I pulled out my yarn and started crocheting miniature rolls of toilet paper. I have now created enough that everyone on my Christmas list will get a toilet paper ornament to hang on their tree for years to come.

They are super simple to make if you know how to crochet.

  • Use your favorite stitch and make a skinny rectangle about one inch by 8 inches.
  • Roll the rectangle to form the toilet paper roll.
  • Insert a piece of twine, jute, ribbon or wire to make the hook.
  • Attach a small card with the date and you are done.
  • If you have a Cricut machine, you can even cut out the date and make it a little craftier.

These yarn toilet paper rolls only take a few minutes from start to finish!
