Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum
We love learning about our United States presidents and one of the best ways to do this in real life is to visit the Presidential Libraries and Museum. When we were in California a few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to visit the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum in Simi Valley.

Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum
The Reagan Library sits on a beautiful hill overlooking Southern California in Conejo Valley, approximately an hour outside Los Angeles.

The Museum opens daily at 10:00 am but we arrived early and took the time to walk around and enjoy the amazing views and flower gardens.

Save time when you arrive by purchasing your tickets online ahead of your visit!

The Museum starts with a brief introductory film about President Reagan’s life and then has a gallery where you learn about his birthplace in Tampico and early years in Dixon. We found it fascinating to read the story of young Ronald Reagan hiding coins under the tiles in the living room of his boyhood home since we learned that story while visiting his boyhood home in Illinois.

As you move through the Museum, you will find interactive exhibits and galleries from the different periods of Reagan’s political career.
One of the things we loved seeing on our tour is the Jelly Bellies all throughout the exhibits and galleries. It’s no secret that President Reagan loved these little candies and helped make them popular. And of course, as Jelly Belly fans ourself, we have visited the Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield and the Warehouse in Wisconsin.

When you finish the main museum galleries, you move to the atrium where you can walk through Air Force One and Marine One.

In a storied career that spanned more than five decades, Ronald Reagan inspired Americans to act and achieve even more than they imagined. His legacy thrives at The Reagan Library where events and exhibits rediscover his values, actions and spirit of determination.

President Reagan’s Memorial
When you finish the tour of the Museum and Library, you should take a few minutes to walk over and honor President Reagan and the First Lady who made such an impact on our country.

We have now visited 5 Presidential Libraries and always leave having learned more about the men who have had such an impact on our nation’s history.
