Our Best Concert Tips for the Family

Recently our family has made a point in attending as many live music events as we can. There’s just something special about hearing your favorite artist and band in person and I am so excited that live music is back! Coming this spring, Chris Tomlin and United are launching a new concert tour and it’s going to be an amazing experience for those who can be part of the tour. As you prep for this great concert event, I thought it would be fun to share some of our family tips for enjoying your favorite artist in a live concert setting.

Many thanks to Premier Productions for providing product/product information for review.  Opinions are 100% my own.  I did receive a music download in exchange for sharing this post.  #TomlinUNITEDMIN #MomentumInfluencerNetwork

Our Best Concert Tips for the Family

Yes, concert tickets are expensive but we have decided as a family that we want to spend money on things that build memories. So when we hear of one of our favorite artists coming to our area, we simply say ‘sign us up!’. We want to be there to experience live music!

Hillsong UNITED and Chris Tomlin are going on a 33 city tour! Tickets are on sale NOW! Check out the cities here and order your tickets today!

From Tampa to Chicago, Boston to DC – find a city near you and get your tickets for this great event!

Buy Tickets Early

When we heard that Michael W Smith and Darci Lynne were coming to Kentucky for a Christmas concert, we immediately started looking for early bird tickets. Check the artist’s Facebook page for discount codes and early-bird discounts. We snagged some great seats for almost half-price by buying them in advance.

Get the best seats you can afford

When Rend Collective came to our local city, we went ahead and bought the upgraded tickets so we could get early access and sit on the third row. When we planned to see Mac Powell, Cain the Band, and Zack Williams in a drive-in concert back in the spring, we paid for a VIP parking spot so we could be up close to the stage.

Plan ahead for Merch Money

There’s a reason there are always tables full of CDs, books and T-shirts in the foyer. Many of the artists will man the merch tables themselves at intermission or after the concert. Buying your favorite merch from the actual artist is a super fun way to make bonus memories. Get your picture with the band; get a signature and buy the souvenirs!

Prep Your Ears’

Since concerts are known for being loud, if you have children or family members who are sensitive to loud music, bring along some foam earplugs to help make their experience more comfortable.

Learn the Music

The first time my daughter got to hear Zach Williams in concert, she had never heard of him and knew none of his songs. She loved it but couldn’t enjoy it fully. Before we arrived at the concert hall to hear Jeremy Camp, we pulled up his current albums and listened for days! Now when we plan for a concert we do the prep ahead of time and listen to the artist’s CDs and playlist. Concerts are far more enjoyable when you can sing along with the band!

When I saw that Chris Tomlin is touring with Hillsong UNITED, I started thinking about the favorite songs from these two artists that are currently on my playlist. Of course, the number one song that sticks out by Hillsong is Oceans (Where Feet May Fail). This favorite has been on our family ever since it was first released in 2013.

And I don’t think of Chris Tomlin without thinking about all his great worship moments – At the Cross, Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone), and How Great is Our God.

A concert with Chris Tomlin and Hillsong UNITED will be a night of worship to remember and embrace. If you love these artists and want to enter for a chance to win a free download code, just leave a comment below about your favorite concert experience! The Winner will be chosen by random drawing on 11/30/21 and notified by email.

What is your favorite concert memory? I’d love to hear how you prepare and enjoy these experiences of live music!

Spread the love
