How to Make Halloween Treat Bags
It’s almost time for Halloween school parties. A few years ago one of my kid’s teachers had a great ideas to encourage parents to bring treats and snacks that the kids could take home. There were just too many store bought cookies, cupcakes and chips for any class to eat. So now instead of heading to the closest store bakery for party snacks, I try to find creative ideas that are easy to prepare and fun for the kids. I decided to make easy Halloween treat bags using things I found at Oriental Trading.

How to Make Halloween Treat Bags
Halloween treat bags don’t have to be hard or expensive. After talking to my kids, I knew what we needed, so I went to Oriental Trading and ordered the supplies we needed.,

What I ordered
I needed enough goodies to fill bags for 2 classes. So I ordered enough ‘stuff’ for 48 kids. Each bag got a pencil, a piece of candy and at least one small toy. (My son is younger so he wanted more toys in each goodie bag.
- Mini Drawstring bags – 144 bags for $11.99
- Halloween Pencils – 24 $4.25 (2 packages)
- Halloween Candy and Toy Assortment 100 pieces $13.50
Total price for 48 goodie bags under $35.00! True, I could go to my local store and buy 2 bags of candy and have the kids pass them out, but these little bags were easy to create, and will be fun for the kids to share with their friends.

Other Ideas for Treat Bags
Treat bags don’t have to look the same or be filled with just candy. Consider filling the bags with stickers, temporary tattoos, mini toys, balloons or even glow sticks.
