Brenda’s Cathedral Window Quilts
One of my favorite parts of the Online Quilt Show is the opportunity to connect with other quilters who are creating amazing quilts! One reader, Brenda, sent these pictures to me to share in our 2017 Online Quilt Show #onlinequiltshow. She is using the Cathedral window quilt pattern which is so far beyond my skill level that I am always amazed to see the finished products! Thanks for sharing Brenda!

Brenda’s Cathedral Window Quilts
I started making cathedral window quilts in 1970. They are truly a challenge as well as lot of hours. They are hand constructed even tho I now sew my windows in by a straight stitch machine. Since I have retired, I enter shows and I have table runners, baby quilts, and throws in area shops for sale. I have won several awards the last 3 years and this has been a lot of fun. I enjoy looking at all the different types of quilts.
The attached quilt is semi-primitive with black and brown fabrics, with black embroidered stars and using tea stained muslin. I won 1st place with this one.
