Valentine Button Copper Plant Stakes
Looking for an easy way to bring a little red and pink Valentine’s Day color into your kitchen during the winter months? These Valentine Button Copper Plant Stakes are a quick, simple craft that adds just the right festive touch to your houseplants.
They’re fast to make, use supplies you may already have on hand, and are easy to customize with as many buttons as you like.

Materials Needed

Directions
- Cut your wire to the desired length.
Leave 3–5 inches at the bottom of the wire for inserting into the plant. - Create the button stops.
A few inches above the bottom, use your wire looping tool to make a few small loops. These loops will keep the buttons from sliding down.

- Thread the buttons.
Slide red and pink buttons down the wire until they rest on the loops. Add as many buttons as you’d like for a fuller look. - Finish the top.
Use the wire looping tool to make a decorative loop at the top of the stake.

- Display and enjoy.
Insert the stake into a potted plant and enjoy a pop of Valentine’s color all winter long.

Tip
These look especially cute grouped together in one plant or mixed into several smaller pots around the kitchen or windowsill.

Simple, cheerful, and perfect for using up that button stash—just the kind of craft that makes winter feel a little brighter.
