Travel Souvenirs & Hometown Memories
Souvenirs and memories should not cost a ton of money. A simple magnet, epenny or Christmas ornament may be just the thing to help you remember the experience. Sometimes souvenirs can be as simple and inexpensive as seashells or a bag of sand.
We have two little jars of sand that we collected from past vacations – one from the Pacific Ocean and one from the Atlantic. Our refrigerator is covered with magnets from museums, national parks, and places we have visited over the past 30 years. Every time we see these things, we remember our special trips and times together. One Christmas we had a family member make us a wall decoration that he cut out in the shape of Kentucky. This is a great way to remember all our fun memories here in our home state.
EPennies
Epennies are probably one of the cheapest souvenir ideas when you are traveling. Just remember to take a few quarters and a penny so you can capture the fun and add to your collection.
Christmas Ornaments
Luggage tags represent all the best dreams of a traveler. You can order a hand-painted Christmas ornament luggage tag from your favorite airport and enjoy the memories all season long.

Seashell Coasters
Do you love searching for seashells as you walk the beach? Everyone I know has spent time collecting seashells when they vacation at the beach. But what do you do with the seashells after you bring them home? Instead of letting the seashells collect dust in a box in the attic, why not create seashell coasters with resin? This is a great way to display your beach treasures and enjoy your memories every day.
What are your favorite ways to remember your family vacations? Got any fun souvenirs you collect? I’d love to hear!
