Restaurant Guide for Conejo Valley

One of the fun parts of traveling is trying new restaurants. We typically tend to skip the chain restaurants and look for locally owned food options that provide the opportunity to try new things. On our recent visit to Conejo Valley, located less than an hour from Los Angeles, we discovered some great restaurants and want to share them with you! Whether you are in the mood for pizza, hamburgers, Mexican, seafood or just need some fresh donuts, I’ve got some great suggestions for you! Which is your favorite? I’d love to hear!

We typically tend to try a different food option each night on vacation so each member of the family has the opportunity to get their favorite food choice.

Sabor Cocino Mexicana

Night one we decided we were in the mood for Mexican food. We ate supper at Sabor and discovered classic Mexican with good service, beautiful decor and delicious food!

Foster’s Donuts

Every town needs to have at least one good donut shop. We found a great one at Fosters Donuts in Thousand Oaks and picked up a dozen donuts to eat on the beach at El Matador State Beach.

Stacked

Stacked Thousand Oaks Mall

There are some restaurants that just make an impression on you. Stacked is that kind of restaurant. The burgers were the best we’ve had and the candied bacon…. Let’s just say that was worth the whole visit! I definitely recommend you try that before you start your dinner.

For those of you not familiar with Stacked, you place your order from the kiosk at your table. The servers were super helpful and showed you how to customize your full menu and then send it to the kitchen. Need a refill? No more waiting for the server to come ask you if you need more tea. Just push the button and a server will be out to take care of you.

The atmosphere was fun and the food was superb!

When you’re done eating, take a few minutes to walk through the mall and do some shopping before heading back to the hotel.

Fresh Brothers

By the last day we were ready for pizza that we could order and take back to the hotel so we could relax. But not just any pizza would do. We tried Fresh Brothers, a casual local chain of pizza restaurants located throughout Southern California.
