Building a New Shade Garden
I have never had a shade garden, but here in my new house I have the perfect spot. There’s just something so relaxing about sitting in the shade of some big trees, listening to the birds sing and the crickets chirp. I am excited to start building this new shade garden using some great pieces of teak furniture from Teak Closeouts as well as some of my favorite plants and accent pieces.
Building a New Shade Garden
Last winter I received a beautiful Teak garden bench from Teak Closeouts. It has been sitting in my flower garden at my old house for the past 8 months. When I realized I would have this great new shady spot, I immediately knew I wanted to add a small table and chair to go with my Teak bench so I contacted Teak Closeouts in Lexington, Kentucky.
If you live in the Lexington, Kentucky area, you can stop by and pick up Teak furniture from their new warehouse downtown. I stopped in on a Saturday morning and picked up my order with no problem. They have hundreds of pieces of Teak furniture, ranging from basic garden chairs, benches and tables to massive Teak horse and elaborate display pieces. If you are not local, you can arrange for delivery to your home.
This is not a fancy showroom. It is in reality a huge warehouse in the downtown, factory area of Lexington. You can follow the directions on the GPS, but the warehouse is down a long gravel road. 359 Thompson Road Lexington, KY 40508.
I picked the perfect spot in my backyard and started dreaming and working.
I added my new Teak Armchair and table from Teak Closeouts. They are a perfect fit for my new garden area. This armchair and beach are sturdy enough to last for years. In fact, I decided to make it my official office for the day.
I had inherited some starter plants that are going to be beautiful next spring in this new garden.
About Teak Closeouts
Teak furniture can be very expensive. For me personally, I don’t need the top of the line most expensive Teak wood garden furniture. I just want beautiful pieces that will hold up for years of enjoyment in my gardens. I love these pieces from Teak Closeouts. I haven’t decided yet if I’m going to stain or put a protectant on my garden furniture yet. The bench has weathered to a loved-in look that just fits my shade garden, don’t you think?
All our items come from various teak manufactures across Indonesia. Our company consists of about 30 employees who search, clean, prepare and market all the teak we buy.
Although we have a small manufacturing department, we do not produce the teak. After spending nearly 8 years in Indonesia, we have an extensive collection of factories, craftsmen, friends, and an array of sources that call us when they want to offer excess product.
If you order the Teak furniture and have it delivered, it will come in a box ready for you to assemble. You can see the step by step process of assembling my Teak Garden Bench from last winter.
I am excited to see the growth of this new shade garden. What are you building in your backyard? I’d love to see!
