Bow & Arrow Review

My kids love the story of Robin Hood. Who wouldn’t want to be him? Give a kid a bow and arrow and they immediately transform into a new character. That’s why I was excited when 3 Rivers Archery sent me a Youth Bow Set for my family to try out. We immediately put it together and headed to the local co-op feed store to buy 3 bales of straw.

My husband put the bow together. It came in a box in pieces and wasn’t hard to assemble. There were no directions included, but there is a video on the site that helped make it clear.

Bow & Arrow Review

Once we had it assembled, we headed out in the backyard to get some practice.

My opinionThe bow is well made and looks like it will last a lifetime. It comes with a leather arm protector and is easily portable. You can take it apart easily for storage or transport. Even though it is geared for youth, it is also a great set for adults who are wanting learn the sport. With the release of the Hunger Games movie and the popularity of the book series, the sport of archery is not going anywhere but up.

This is a great set for the kids to start learning about archery. I know that my kids are now able to experience a new hobby and sport and develop a skill that will benefit them through life.

I received this product for the purpose of the review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed in this post are my own.

  4. I visited the 3 rivers archery site. This has some cool stuff but I am now curious how the tape on bow fishing reel works. The thought of mere tape holding that on my bow with a fish on the other end seems impossible to me.
