On our recent 2600 mile/7 day/ 11 state road trip we spent some time in Coooperstown, NY visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame and Fennimore Art Museum. Cooperstown is located on beautiful Lake Otsego and is a gorgeous stop in Central New York. We had the opportunity to stay at the Bayside Inn and Marina and enjoyed their hospitality and recommendations for touring the town of Cooperstown

Where to stay in Cooperstown, NY
When we visit a large city, we have our go-to hotels where we like to stay. But what do you do when you are visiting a smaller city that doesn’t have your favorite chain of hotels? One of the best ways to find your hotel is to contact the Visitors Center and Tourism Office. This is especially helpful when you know nothing about the area and want to find the best options for your family. The city of Cooperstown told us about the Bayside Inn & Marina.
About Bayside Inn and Marina
Bayside Inn and Marina is located right on Lake Otsego with it’s own fishing area and dock. The kids and I were out early on the Lake enjoying the sunrise.
The Inn was spotless and the staff friendly. They even had a roll away bed waiting for us when we checked in!
They had recommendations for where to get gas, food and how to navigate the city of Cooperstown.
You may not think that recommendations for where to get gas is important but in the city of Cooperstown, this is a very important piece of information. There are few gas stations so make sure you fill up and don’t get to the point where you are running on fumes.
Be sure to take some time to enjoy the amazing view of Lake Otsego! Whether you get up at daybreak and head out to watch the sun come up over the lake, or spend the day, you will definitely appreciate the gorgeous view!
Stagecoach Coffee Shop
Of course one thing many people want to know about a new town is where to get the best coffee. We were directed to Stagecoach Coffee Shop right down from the Baseball Hall of Fame where we were able to start our day out with a hot cup of coffee to help us fuel up for the day!
