Exploring Tebb’s Bend
Are you in the Campbellsville, Kentucky area looking for a quick road trip adventure that doesn’t require a lot of hiking or major investment of time? Tebb’s Bend-Green River Bridge Battlefield may be just the side trip for you. Located just 10 minutes outside of Campbellsville, it’s a short trip out to some restful places.
You stop first to walk around and explore the Toll House. If you get there just at the right time, maybe there will be someone there who can show you around. But on our visit, it was all empty and locked so we just walked around the outside.
After you leave the Toll House, take a short walk over to the old bridge. It goes nowhere officially and just ends with a beautiful view.
Now it’s time for the driving tour. Look for some of the battlefield signs along your short drive out to the bridge..
When you get to the bridge, pull over and just sit and take it all in. There was barely any traffic when we were visiting, so we took the time to walk out on the bridge and enjoy the view. Gorgeous. Peaceful. Definitely worth the time time to just be present.

Stop (1A) at The Toll Gate House serves as a transportation museum, featuring photographs of Taylor County toll houses, toll keepers, and historical toll rates dating back to the 1800s.
