Christmas Memories with Grandma

Yesterday I had the opportunity to spend some time with my 96 year old Grandma. Over the past few years when we get together, I have asked her questions and let her tell us stories about her life. Today was the perfect time to have her tell us about her favorite Christmas gift, the year she taught my Dad about Santa Claus and of course some fun stories about when she was growing up.

Since we are so close to Christmas, I thought it would be fun to just share some of these video clips with you.

Christmas Memories with Grandma

One of the traditions with Grandma is sharing the classic peom “The Night Before Christmas”. A few years ago my daughter and Grandma spent a few minutes together quoting it together. This video clip is special to me for several reasons: I love seeing the two of them working together to quote this lengthy poem. I love the fact that my kids and their great grandmother have a wonderful relationship. I love the fact that we were able to celebrate together with my kids and Grandma again this year.

Over the past few months, I have recorded several other memories from Grandma. These video clips are true treasures!

From my family to yours, I hope you have a great Merry Christmas Eve!

Spread the love
