Photo Gifts & Ideas for the Holidays
What do you consider your most priceless possessions? I’m not talking family, friends and faith; instead, I’m talking about the tangible things you own. Do you have jewelry that has been passed on from one generation to another? Maybe you have a grandfather clock that has sentimental value. Your kids may have stuffed animals that are literally impossible to replace. For me, I think my most valuable things I own are photos. If you are like me, then photo gift are a perfect win-win gift!

Photo Gifts & Ideas for the Holidays
I love looking at pictures of the places we have visited and the people I get to spend time with so I almost always have a camera with me. I am the person who my circle of friends and family members relies on to capture the moments in photos. So when it comes to Christmas gifts, I love the idea of incorporating some of these photos into gifts.
Christmas Cards
Of course, the most popular way to use photos during the holiday season is in Christmas cards. Some families plan all year and create the perfect family photos with professional photo sessions, but I’ll be honest and share a little secret. We’re not that family. In fact, we often struggle to get all 5 of us in the same picture. So when we took a quick weekend trip over to Pigeon Forge the weekend before Thanksgiving, I was thrilled that they already had all the lights up at Dixie Stampede. I was able to sneak in some fun family pictures to use for Christmas cards.
This year I chose to send out ornaments instead of the traditional Christmas cards. This will make it a little easier for my friends and family to display the cards the way most of us do each year.
Reusable Shopping Bags
Another fun option for using our favorite photos is on a reusable shopping bag. I created this one for my Mom. shh…. don’t tell her if you see her. But I think shes’ going to love the chance to show off these fun pictures from a recent family weekend with the cousins!
Custom Pillow Gifts
Did you know you can order custom photo and text throw pillows from Shutterfly? I had no idea till this year! This is a great way to have someone enjoy a photo year round on their couch or easy chair. Not only can you add photos, but you can personalize the text, layout and background of each pillow!
Photo Books
My Grandma is 96 years old. She doesn’t need lots of stuff in her life anymore, but she does treasure photos. Over the past few years, I have made her several Shutterfly photo books and this year is no different. The hard cover book filled with photos of the people she loves is a priceless treasure. When we go to her house, we can see that the books from the past years are often out in the living room where she has been showing them to visitors or just looking through them again.
Savings Reminder
