“What if the ones reporting the news are actually the ones making the news?” That is the question at the basis of the newest book by Lis Wiehl, The Newsmakers. Erica Sparks is a young, beautiful reporter who gets the chance of her life when she lands a new job at Global News Network in New York City! This book takes off from the first chapter and weaves a tale of intrigue to very end.

The Newsmakers by Lis Wiehl Book Review

Erica has a secret in her past that she doesn’t want revealed. The records are supposed to be sealed about her past and why she lost custody of her daughter, Jenny, but the GNN just seems to have ways of finding things out. From Erica’s first assignment when things don’t go as planned, her career seems to skyrocket. But is there something happening behind the scenes that is going to change her life completely?

The Newsmakers is a work of fiction, but it can really start the wheels turning. I’m no conspiracy theorist, but this book does make you start to question reality. What if there are things happening behind the scenes that are shaping our world that we just don’t know about? The author Lis Wiehl has experience in the news world. As a legal analyst and commentator for the Fox News Channel, Wiehl has background in the news industry. The book is well written and keeps you coming back from the very beginning all the way. I am excited to follow the career of Erica Sparks in this new series and can’t wait to read the sequel!
