Lucy Out of Bounds Book Review

Lucy Out of Bounds (Faithgirlz / A Lucy Novel) is the second book in the Lucy series. In this Lucy adventure, Lucy finds a bobcat that in endangering her cats. At the same time Lucy finds out about the Olympic Development Program. Wanting to be picked for it, she trains extra hard. Then Nora has a crush on JJ, but after an argument, he’s gone. To make matters worse, they have a game soon, and there’s too many things going on for them to be totally prepared. Will her world ever be the same?

Lucy is a girl who prefers to be outside enjoying life rather than sitting around inside doing hair and makeup. I think this would be a good book for girls 4th-6th grade because it’s an easy book to read.

If your school does Accelerated Reader (AR), this book is on the program for 9 points! And that’s huge! Some of the other Faithgirlz are also on AR. Just check with your school!

From the Book Cover

It seems like everybody’s got it in for Lucy! Mora’s gone boy-crazy for JJ and will stop at nothing to cut Lucy’s friendship with him out of the picture. A land developer wants the soccer field, and the town council just might take him up on it. And a wildcat is stalking Lucy’s house cats. Worst of all, she’s in trouble with her dad. Where can Lucy turn when it seems like nothing’s going right?

About the Author

nancy rueNancy Rue travels North America speaking and teaching at schools, churches, home school groups, and for groups of ‘tween girls and their moms. She lives in Tennessee with her husband, Jim. Their daughter, Marijean, son-in-law, Brian, and four-year-old granddaughter Maeryn, live in nearby Nashville. The Rues’ yellow lab Geneveve and tabby cat King Arthur share Jim and Nancy’s home, and without them writing would be difficult.

  2. My favorite book series for tween girls is the American Girl books. I haven’t read any of the Faithgirlz books yet but I think my girls would like them.
