As the weather starts to turn cooler here in Kentucky, many of us are pulling out winter quilts and warm blankets. Do you have special quilts that you love snuggling under during the cool nights of fall and winter? I have grown up using handmade quilts from my Grandma and other family members, and have even made a few quilts of my own. Today, I’m sharing an interview I did with my 95 year old Grandma a few years ago in her backyard. We talked flowers, quilting and all about travel! I asked her permission to record a few minutes as we shared quilting memories.
Let’s Talk Quilts with Grandma
Here’s the Nine Patch Quilt that Grandma and I made!
I love Grandma’s Doll Quilt. This is the one she talks about making when she was around 15 years old.
I didn’t give her time to prepare for this interview but I did ask her permission.
Online Quilt Show
If you love quilts, then you probably love quilt shows – walking through a gallery and studying the quilts, hearing the stories and being amazed at the workmanship. For the last 5 years, I have worked with quilters from all around the country to host an Online Quilt Show. Take a few minutes and click through the quilts below to read some amazing stories of beautiful quilts!
