LEGO KidsFest Tips

Our family loves to build with LEGO® bricks. LEGO® KidsFest is something we have looked forward to all year! We received tickets or discounts for the purpose of this post. #LEGOKidsFest

So you think you can build? Are you an aspiring LEGO Master builder? At LEGO KidsFest you not only get the opportunity to explore and experience amazing LEGO creations, but you also have the opportunity to get hands-on tips from LEGO Master builders. If you are looking for a family event that will challenge and entertain the whole family, LEGO KidsFest is for you!

What can you expect at LEGO Kidsfest?

LEGO Bricks! and More! Each session sells out quickly, so make sure you purchase your ticket online before the session. Don’t bring your own snacks or drinks! They will check your bags and you will have to take snacks back to your vehicle, but there are food vendors in the convention center!

You can get a free ticket when you first arrive to attend one of the masterbuilder LEGO sessions. We had the opportunity to hear masterbuilder Dan talk about how he got his first job working with LEGO, and a few building tips for how to take the LEGO pieces you already own and create something amazing.

My son had the chance to walk up and talk one-on-one with one of the master builders.

Model Museum

One of the highlights of any LEGO KidsFest is the Model Museum. But don’t worry about them falling apart when you walk up to get your photo opp! These models are kid friendly. We learned in the Master Builder class that these models are put together piece by piece and glued together! So let the kids pose with each of the characters and get some great pictures!

Star Wars Hanger Bay Relay Race

The Star Wars Hanger Bay Relay Race was a fun family challenge! We raced back and forth to find the pieces of the spacecraft. This was a great chance to work together toward a goal. We may not have designed the typical spaceship, but we sure did have fun!
