Whether it’s BBQ, taco, Mushroom & Swiss, Bacon and Peanut Butter, Stuffed Jalapeno or traditional lettuce and tomato, Jason & Kristy know how to make a burger into a memory. Here’s their story….
Friday Night Burger Night
We are a busy family with 3 beautiful girls 11, 5, and 4 months. Like most families we would go out to eat or order pizza on Friday nights. Well that got boring and expensive. We decided as a family to have burgers every Friday night-
- It’s easy and cheap.
- It’s a lot of fun.
- We are creating memories that will last a lifetime!
We are all involved in creating the burgers. They are different every time. We get ideas everywhere from commercials to cartoons but we always make it our own. We have had something as silly as Mac n Cheese burgers to an Italian burger on ciabatta bread.
My husband always grills the burgers (which is his favorite hobby) and I get the patties together. I always go on Fridays after work and get the meat so it’s fresh and pick out the perfect bun/bread. Hey, it’s a burger. I can afford the fancy bakery bread and deli cheese and it still be less than a $20 meal.
The girls love it and they are always adding their suggestions. My 5 year old has requested crabby patties so now we’re trying to come up with our secret sauce since Mr. Krabs isn’t sharing.
Kristy is a wife and Mom of 3 who juggles parenthood, a full time job and the daily responsibilities of life while still making time to build memories with her kids! She is also my husband’s cousin! I love sharing the traditions that friends and family are building with their kids and the next generation!
Do you have any family traditions like this? What toppings would you suggest for Kristy and her family to try on Burger Night?
