Let’s face it. Taking care of our feet is not always on our list of top most important things to do every day. But it should be! After all, if our feet aren’t working properly, then it becomes almost impossible to function. Think back to the last time you spent an entire day walking or standing on your feet. Remember how tired you felt? As we age, we have different needs for our feet. But we all need to spend a few minutes pampering the feet that hold us up and keep us moving. Here are 3 different foot care basket ideas that help meet the needs of 3 different generations.

Foot Care Baskets for 3 Generations
I went to the store and picked up all the ingredients to make foot baskets for me, my tween daughter, and my mom! Each of us has different priorities when it comes to taking care of our feet. Not only are these great ideas for everyday foot care, but they would make a perfect gift for Mother’s Day.
Each generation of women is concerned about our feet looking nice, but we also need to focus on helping them feel healthy and comfortable.
For Tween Girls
When we are young and have less physical issues, we are most concerned with our feet just looking pretty. There’s little thought to how much support our shoes provide or any issues with our feet. My daughter is 10 and loves to have pretty polish and stickers for her nails. I picked up some bright nail polish, stickers to decorate her toenails and some fuzzy socks.
When you are a Mom with small kids, we still want our feet to look nice, but we are starting to feel the roughness and effects of time on our heels. I bought a new bottle of polish, some remover and lotion and a pretty basket to hold all my foot care supplies.
I also included the Amopé™ Pedi Perfect™ Electronic Foot File and Foot Cream. This little gadget is perfect for removing the rough edges and helps me get my feet ready for sandal weather.
Little trivia question for you: Do you know what “Amopé™” means? It is Portuguese for “Love your Feet.”
My mom is in her 60’s and still wants her feet to look nice, but now she is more concerned with comfort. For her, I picked up a simple white tub, some soaking salts and a pair of aloe socks along with a bright Spring color of polish. These socks will help ease the pain of being on her feet after a full day working in the yard or around town.

Creating a Jewelry Candle
Not only did I want to create a foot care basket with the things we need for our feet, but I wanted to add a little something extra – the personal creative touch! I decided to do a DIY jewelry candle.
- Empty Candle Jar
- Candle Wick
- Aluminum Foil
- Small piece of jewelry
- Melt the candle wax
- Place the wick inside the jar
- Pour the melted wax into a candle jar
- Wrap the jewelry in aluminum foil
- Place the aluminum foil wrapped jewelry inside the wax
- Continue filling the jar with melted wax until the jar is full
- Let the wax harden
- Tie a piece of twine around the jar
- Now the fun begins. Start burning your candle and wait to find the surprise piece of jewelry!
