Everyone goes through seasons in their life where their hobbies change. As a child you may collect rocks or stamps as your hobby. A teenager may collect school memorabilia or phone numbers. A college student may spend all their hobby time and energy on anything that gets them out of study. A young mom’s hobby becomes surviving diapers and midnight feedings. A working parent may focus their hobby time on work related details or climbing their office ladder.
But one hobby that each person should put value on is family time. Whether your family is young or old, close or far, big or small – each family has unique qualities that make them unique and special. While we may not finish the quilt, scrapbook or needwork project as quickly as we plan, sometimes we have to take the time to just sit back and spend some time with our family members.
No matter what season of life you are living, make sure you take time to put a priority on family time and make that your hobby of choice!
Tip: Take pictures today of your family. None of us are guaranteed to have tomorrow, so the time to build memories and preserve those memories for future generations is NOW! I have been on a ‘mission’ to get pictures of me with my family members.
This weekend I got this picture of me with my 91 year old Grandmother! This is my treasure!
