I found the recipe for Peppermint Bark on the McCormick Baking Site. There are some amazing recipes there!
Ingredients
1 package (12 ounces) white chocolate chips
1 teaspoon McCormick® Pure Peppermint Extract
8 drops McCormick® Red Food Color | Substitutions
1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies
Directions
Melt the bag of white chocolate chips in a microwavable bowl (takes about 2 minutes)
Stir in Peppermint Extract
The store was out of McCormick Pure Peppermint Extract so I went with Mint instead. The mint has more of a spearmint flavor, but for this recipe the mint worked fine.
Spread on foil covered baking sheet.
Drip the food coloring onto the melted chocolate
Swirl the food coloring throughout the white chocolate
Sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies
Refrigerate for about 10 minutes
Break into pieces to serve
This Peppermint Bark turned out perfect. I can definitely see me making this again! Remember the Oreo Bark I made last year? It didn’t turn out as pretty, but sure was tasty!
I’m already wondering how Butterfinger, Snickers or Reese’s would taste with the white chocolate bark. Got any tips? I’d love to hear!
If you don’t want to crush all those candies you can buy them already fine crushed and you can use oils instead if flavors to give it a real pungent kick. But very little oils are strong. Looks yummy would be pretty swirled with green and red 🙂
Another snow day! I may have to make this. I think I have all the ingredients.
