Backyard NERF Wars
Our kids love to grab their NERF guns and have full fledged backyard NERF Wars. Over the past few years, we’ve accumulated quite an arsenal of NERF guns but we’ve never tried the bow and arrows. Because I’m a BZZAgent, we received this NERF Rebelle Bow. Take a quick guess at what we did this weekend?
Backyard NERF Wars
You guessed it! We grabbed up all the gear we needed to have a full fledged Backyard NERF battle. Safety Glasses, ammo bags, and all the guns we could find under the bed and in our storage buckets! We were ready!
Your big question might be who won this battle? I would love to say that Mom experience and smarts pulled off the victory; but in reality, the kids are much better at NERF wars than I am. The flip side of this is that we were out running around in the backyard so we all got fresh air, exercise and lots of laughter! I guess you could say we were all the winners!
Tips for a Great NERF War
- ALWAYS wear safety glasses when the games begin. We picked up safety glasses for all 3 kids and they know to never start shooting till everyone has their eyes protected. Sunglasses are definitely not the same as safety glasses, but they work in a pinch.
- Wear shorts with pockets or carry a side bag so you will have extra ammo easily accessible.
- Once your kids start collecting an arsenol of NERF weapons, keep them in a box so you can find the ammo and glasses when you are ready for your next backyard fun.

Well, I’ve never seen a blaster like that before. It looks like Nerf has finally taken notice of the fans out there. It seems like a good idea to produce a range specifically designed for the female market, but as a male, I can’t help but want one. The previous bow wasn’t that good, but this one looks much nicer. Sadly, its colour scheme will be a bit out of place with my other equipment. Looks like I’ll need to purchase a piece of the entire Rebelle range now!
As to backyard Nerf games, it’s great being able to get together with a few friends and slug it out at the local park. The local parks are perfect for Nerf wars where I live.
NERF toys certainly have come a long ways since I was a kid! It look like another fun weekend at the Hobbies household!
