Baby Girl’s Pastel Quilt

When I was pregnant with my daughter I wanted to make her a quilt out of pastel fabric. I was on a pretty tight budget but I knew it needed to be special. I went to my Grandma’s house and dug through her stash of fabric pieces and found some really pretty pieces of peach, yellow, blues, purple and pink. But I knew I was going to need a lot more fabric.

While visiting my family in Tennessee, I stopped in to a local quilt store and checked out their discarded, clearance remnant room. I hit the jackpot! I found pieces of pastel fabric that were perfect to finish my daughter’s quilt.

Because I told her how I made it because I loved her, she often reminds me that she falls asleep under a “hug from Mom!”

About the quilt

This quilt is made from clearance fabric; pieced together on a machine and quilted by hand. It fits my daughter’s twin size bed. She uses it every night to sleep under.
