Home / Cooking / Philly Cheese Steak Stromboli for Supper

I admit that I have a tendency to get in a rut when it comes to supper meals. It’s way too easy to end up serving my family the same rotation of 4-5 meals. That’s why I love eMeals – an email service that sends me 7 new dinner recipes each week. I don’t have to use them all, but I can almost always find at least 2 or 3 new ideas to fix for supper.

This last week, I made Philly Cheese Steak Stromboli for the very first time and it was a definite hit for most of the family!

Philly Cheese Steak Stromboli for Supper

stromboli ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Green pepper
  • 2 refrigerated pizza crusts
  • 2 tbs mayonnaise
  • 2 tbs mustard
  • 1 package of sliced roast beef
  • 1 package of sliced provolone cheese
stromboli directions

Directions

  • Saute the onion and green pepper in a small amount of vegetable oil
  • Roll out pizza crusts
  • Mix Mayo and mustard; then spread on crust
  • Top with vegetables, sliced roast beef and provolone cheese
  • Roll it up like a jelly roll (smooth side up)

Bake at 425 for about 15 minutes (or until lightly browned) I think this was a little too hot because the outside of the crust got brown before the inside was fully cooked.

Slice and serve while hot!

Have you ever fixed stromboli?  Got any tips for the next time I make it?

  • I’m not a huge fan of cheese steaks, but my husband is. I’ll have to give this a try and see how he likes it. I’d love to add something new to the menu that HE will actually eat!

  • You are making my mouth water…better pin this to my recipes I want to try board.

  • Girl you are making me hungry just reading this post and all I had for dinner was some Bojangles fries. LOL

  • YUM YUM!! Looks delish!

  • Mmmm, that looks so yummy even though I don’t eat beef. Do ya think I can find some shaved turkey or chicken and try that out!? I used to use Steakumms as a teen and one time in my 20s I found the brand did a chicken version. Haven’t seen it since. However I was in MD at the time – not Rome, NY or Atlanta, GA where I’ve lived the most often.

  • YUM! Stromboli is so good, but I’ve never had it with steak! I’ll have to try this out!

  • Love emeals! Love that you have yours in a binder too, lol. I’ll have to organize mine better. :-)

  • Oh this looks good! I always seem to get into a rut and serve the same things. I definitely need to check this out!
