4 Cool Gifts Easy to Mail

Sometimes you want to send someone a gift in the mail but you really need to keep the cost of shipping down to a minimum. Maybe you have a grandchid or niece that lives far away. You don’t want to spend more on shipping than you do on the present. Sure you can send a gift card, but where’s the creativity in that? There are so many options for cool gifts easy to mail! Here’s a few of my favorites.

Cool Gifts Easy to Mail

1. Eco-Orbs

These are sold by many names: Crystal Soil, Water Gels or Eco-Orbies  These small beads are super cheap to buy (usually less than $4.00 a pack!. They don’t weigh anything at all and fit easily into a regular envelope. Once you get them, you soak them in water for several hours and they grow as they hdyrate. They can be used for flowers or fun. My kids love playing with them. They get really cool when you mix the colors. When you’re done using them, you can just let them dry out and they will shrink back down to small beads.

2. Magic Milk Straws

Magic Milk Straws are available at most grocery stores. They come in different flavors (chocolate, cookies & cream, banana, strawberry and more). At our local Walmart they cost about $2.00 for a pack of 6. They do not have milk in the products so they do not need to be refrigerated. You simply pour a cup of milk (not included in the package) and then drink the milk through the magic straw. The milk ends up tasting like the desired flavor as it goes through the straw. These would easily fit in a flat envelope!

3. Eraselets

My kids love decorative erasers. There are so many cool choices. You can pick them up for a $1.00 at the Dollar Store, Walmart or Big Lots. You can even order them online at Amazon. But don’t think that the only options are the typical rubber characters or shapes. Eraselets are erasers that kids wear as bracelets. Wouldn’t these be fun?

4. Glow in the Dark Sticks

All kids love glow sticks. There are so many fun things to do with them. There are many reasons these are great to mail. You can pick them up for .97 at Walmart or Dollar Trees. They will easily fit in a legal size envelope and they give hours of fun!

Take a look and get some ideas for what you can do with glow in the dark sticks:

What’s your favorite gift you can mail that doesn’t cost a fortune?  I’d love to hear your great ideas!

I love Glow sticks…. I remember when they were such a rare thing, you could only get them at the skating rink. I love that now you can take them camping, to parades, halloween, parties…. we even took them to Disneyland :)
