What do you get when you mix 8 girls, snacks, nail polish, a stage with microphone and spotlight, dress up costumes and all the jewelry you can fit in a huge bag? Some might think the answer would be A Royal Mess, but we had our Royal Ball!

My daughter invited 7 royal princesses to come have a party and make some memories. By the time they were done, they had done their nails, created bead bracelets, enjoyed mulitple costume changes and decorated the cupcakes. What a fun time for all!

The Entertainment

Disney has released Cinderella as blu-ray, so everyone is buzzing about Disney Princesses. We had so much fun letting the royal guests sing, dance, entertain and even spent some time checking out the new Disney Royal Ball Augmented Reality app Its’ a great place get ideas and entertainment for all the royal princesses.

We took our phone to Walmart last week to check out the app in the store. What a fun way to experience Cinderella in a whole new way. There are costumes to design, a carriage to choose and a chance to dance with your created princess. You can see more about our experience using the app and shopping for the party here.

Our Royal Ball – the Activities

What should a group of royal princesses do at a ball? We decided we would pamper our hands with a Serenity Scrub, paint nails with princess polish, and create bead bracelets. You would think that all these activities would have made for a chatoic ball, but it was really quite calm and fun. Thanks to my great friend Katie for coming to spend the day painting the nails for all these young princesses!

The Snacks

Every princess should know how to prepare their own food, of course. So I put the royal guests to work decorating their cupcakes. With sprinkles and individual plates of icing, they were each able to create their own masterpiece.

All the decorating, pampering and singing really does help work up an appetite! So we knew it was time to eat!

What a fun royal ball we had! Have you ever had a royal party for princesses? What fun ideas do you have for your special guests? I’d love to hear!
