  • I am really needing to know if I can make the glow0in-the-dark-jars with paint and no blacklight. I want to know I can use them to line the driveway come Halloween . Is there a paint that will actually do this project or no … I am reading the reviews but not getting an answer. Thank you for getting back to me before I spedn money… Jody

    • Jody, I am posting an answer here as well as emailing you directly. I have not found a paint that works well for driveway outside decorations. My best results have come from putting glow sticks in the jars or bags as outdoor decorations. They last all night almost and look awesome! I break them apart and drip the liquid from the glow stick in the jar and then put the stick itself in there and it works really well! Have fun! I’d love to see what you end up creating! Have fun!

      Hi Nancy,

Thanks for hopping over and visiting my site! I’ve written several times about my glow in the dark experiments. I’ve never been able to make the actual glow in the universe jars turn out like the original, but I do have several tips. Check them out and see if they help you out a bit!
      Thanks,
      Sharon

  • OK. This is super fun and cool lookin’!
I also saw a nice idea to reuse mason jars on TV yesterday…you can buy a kit at Home Depot/Lowes to make a lamp/light and make hanging lights with the mason jars!
It looks really neat! Very creative, outdoor lighting :)
